If you know me, you know I love a good hot bath. The time I spend soaking is a self-care practice I’ll probably never stop incorporating into my routine. Although most of us Americans prefer the shower over a bath, I will always be an advocate for the once in a while relaxation of our traditional bathtubs. So much so that I used to have a bath & body shop on Etsy (hello Magic Waters). In my year of owning an Etsy shop and taking lots of hot baths, I’ve put together the best bath time ritual for you! It’s easy and you’ll enjoy the time to relax.

What to put in your bath water
Here are a few of my favorite things to incorporate into my bath time ritual: my favorite organic body oil, Epsom salt, dried flowers (I love rose petals), and a few drops of essential oil (my recent go-to is an organic rose oil). I keep it simple when it comes to my bath time.
The best organic bath oil for dry skin
The bath oil I use changes from time to time. My current favorite is Calendula Body Oil from the local Asheville, NC Willow Hill Soap Company LLC (@willowhillspoapcompany). It smells amazing! I chose it specifically for my baths because the ingredients are superb: Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Calendula, Organic Olive Oil, (Non-GMO) Vitamin E. Incorporating body oil into your bath time ritual is very nourishing to the skin. The longer you soak the more your skin will come out hydrated. This is especially important in the winter months (does anyone else have dry legs like me?). Pump about 3-4 times worth directly into your bath water.

The best Dried Organic Rose Petals for your bath time ritual
I keep a mixture of homemade bath salts in a glass jar in my bathroom. I mix together Epsom salt and dried organic rose petals. When I am ready to take a bath I sprinkled about 2 cups into my bath water. Starwest Botanicals has the perfect organic rose petals for your bath time ritual. They are premium quality and will last a long time as a little goes a long way.

My favorite organic rose essential oil
There are so many organic rose essential oils on the market! Most are a pretty penny. Rose is such a wonderful and strong fragrance that you’ll only need a few drops at a time. My go-to brand for organic essential oil is Mary Taylor Naturals. You’ll find a wide variety of organic essential oils on their Amazon page, too. My current face is organic rose oil. It truly spells heavily. I sprinkle 3-4 drops into my hot bath water… so dreamy!

Bringing Your Bath Time Ritual together
Lets recap! We have our Epsom salt with dried rose petal blend, our favorite essential oil, and our favorite body oil. All of these ingredients go directly into your bath water for a wonderfully relaxing experience. Some of my favorite things to do in the bath are meditating, opening my Akashic Records, giving myself an Esoteric Healing session, journaling, or simply chilling out. Make this space your own and give yourself the self care you need.

Pssst! If you’re curious to know what I think is the BEST organic face oil, it’s Marigold by Mother Mountain Herbals and I use it after every shower. Can you tell I have a thing for Calendula?
